3-29-94 Dial speed
If you hear dialing, but also still hear the Dialtone then the modem
tones aren't breaking dialtone. You may have set S11=55, or the software
may have done it. Default is S11=95. If S11=95 isn't enough, try S95=125
(or S11=150). If increasing S11 doesn't work, something is wrong between
the modem and phone system (not a multi line 'office system' I hope, it
must be a 1 line 2 wire system). Try the modem somewhere else to see if the
modem is OK.
Also, do you have Tone dialing? You need to set the software to PULSE, if
that is how your telphone dials.
The length of tone may also affect a PAGER if you are using Voice
software. Increase S11 if the pager doesn't recognise the numbers.
